Dull of emotion but not of heart, Lili is the female main character of Aboard the Winnow. Following the destruction of her home realm, Earth, she has settled for residing in a broken-down suburban home in what once used to be an unassuming middle class neighbourhood. She is the only Human working on the Winnow, and she specialises in ether manipulation.
Appearance: Lili is a lanky, Asian woman who wears her black hair loose and down to her hips. She is visibly East-Asian. On the field, she wears the standard frontline caster’s gear: a teal, long sleeved tunic with baggy tapered pants. In her free time she enjoys wearing long skirts and loose clothing.
Avett Ironsturm

Fierce and hotheaded, Avett is a Kattish male who works as both the Winnow’s mechanic and frontline arms specialist. He is deeply passionate about his current career, and would give the world to continue his exploits as a mercenary. Due to his previous run-ins with Humans during a routine stop at the Hive, he expresses slightly prejudiced views towards them, though as a racial minority himself he has begun to mellow out over the course of the story.
Appearance: Avett likes to keep his raven-dark hair in a shoulder length ponytail while leaving his bangs unstyled and loose; due to this, he is prone to blowing them out of his eyes. As a Kattish male, he has a pair of black ears and a prehensile tail on the end of his spine, slitted irises, as well as several stripes at the corners of his eyes. He wears a blue jacket, grey tank and some variant of black pants on the field. In casual settings, he is likely to wear hoodies.

Ysh’vanna is the Winnow’s esteemed pilot and captain, and though she takes her position seriously at times, she is also a proud advocate for intense celebratory drinking. She can be anxious in her demeanor occasionally.
Appearance: Ysh’vanna is a Draconian with shaggy white hair that reaches down to her hips; this is also how she keeps her ear webbings hidden, and she seldom shows them in public. Her eyes are green and slitted. Due to her status as a captain, she has no obligation to wear any sort of on field uniform, and so she settles for a basic top and overalls.
Auren Draksparrow

The ‘true’ captain of the ship, Auren is a self proclaimed stick-in-the-mud who puts his career above all else. He is intensely controlling, but what lies underneath a proud and stoic surface is a soft interior that yields to emotional duress. He is a backline caster, and he has unparalleled ability in controlling ether.
Appearance: Austere and a bit standoffish, Auren stands at a shocking height that he often uses to his advantage to garner favour and respect with the people around him. As a natural Eldrak Gallian, he is very lanky and sports platinum hair, as well as sea foam green skin. His status as an Eldrak caster means that his hair must be kept at least waist length. He wears the backline caster uniform—a red variant of the frontline caster’s teal uniform.
